Nexus tablet is going to release in October: “Google”
After being announced at the Google I/O, the Nexus 7 tablet
has recieved a lot of attention all over the world. Due to it’s low
price with the Quad core processor and 7″ inch IPS LCD, screen
having pixel dimensions of 1280 x 800 (216 ppi), is said to be a better
option than the Amazon Kindle Fire.
Now, reports suggest that the Nexus 7 will be available in India by
October, as against the previously claimed August launch date.
An ASUS representative has
reportedly said that the company plans to bring the slate to Indian
shores by September end, once it has enough stock. However the pricing
and other specific details are yet to be decided.
Some of the known specifications include:
a 12-core graphics processor with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU
1 GB of RAM
1.2 mp front-facing camera for video calling
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, and NFC
and a bunch of sensors.
The tablet comes with 8 GB and 16 GB models, and the storage space
is not expandable. The 8 GB model is priced at $199 (Rs. 11,500), while
the 16 GB one is said to cost $249 ($13,700). Although pitted against
the Kindle Fire, this slate surely looks to give the likes of Samsung, Micromaxx Funbooks, NXG’s A10s , and other popular tablet manufacturers a run for their money.
