Finally Apple Got Rights to iPad3.com Domain

Last week, Apple has reported to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) seeking to gain control of the iPad3.com domain.That was Simply to Promote it’s third generation iPad, THE NEW IPAD3. It seemed likely that the company was still interested in controlling iPad3.com as a potentially popular destination for those attempting to find out more about the device. 

 

Apple appears to Already taken over the iPad3.com domain, with the Whois information which has been updated to list Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, the law firm commonly used by Apple in its patent and trademark proceeding. Visitors to the site are, however, still routed through a set of advertising and affiliate links. 

The case is still listed as active by WIPO, but it certainly appears that Apple has struck an agreement with the domain’s previous owners that will enable the case to be terminated.
