Samsung Galaxy S3
Samsung Galaxy S3
The power Smartphone user is going to be taking a long luscious look at the Samsung Galaxy S3. This is one of the most waited-for Smartphone’s in recent months. It is sporting many of the things that would make even a critical person happy. The screen is top notch and the Android system inside runs fast thanks to a powerful processor. Read on to find out more on the Samsung Galaxy S3 here in this quick article.
The first thing a person is going to notice about the Samsung Galaxy S3 is its bright Super AMOLED screen. This is 4.8 inches of digital real estate that is nothing short of eye candy. It has practically the same clarity as the iPhone 4S. The S3 has 306 pixels per inch (PPI) of resolution while the iPhone “retina screen” has 326 PPI. The Galaxy screen has no manual keyboard to accompany it, so all typing is going to be done on the virtual screen. The screen is covered with protective “Gorilla Glass” that is up to three times stronger than plain glass.
Taking a look at the hardware, the processor is flying at 1.4 gigahertz. It is not just a dual core, but a quad core Cortex A9 chip that is made by Samsung. It is accompanied by a Mali-400MP GPU (Graphical Processing Unit ) that is made by Advanced RISC Machines. The available memory space is up to the buyer. This Smartphone comes in 16, 32 and 64 gigabyte memory versions. If that ends up not being enough, the flash memory slot can handle one of those newer 64 gigabyte MicroSD cards. If you count that up, the Samsung Galaxy S3 can give the user up to 128 gigabytes of data space for videos, music, or whatever type of file.
What about the operating system? The Galaxy S3 is coming out with the latest version of Google Android. This is called “Ice Cream Sandwich” and is faster than the last (2.3) version. This needs no physical buttons like the iPhone does, so none are included on the front of the Smartphone. It comes with a web browser that can handle Adobe flash files, which the iPhone also can not handle. The Android mobile operating system is vulnerable to hackers, though, so security should be addressed by using an anti-malware software in the handset. The camera for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is powered up to eight megapixels. It comes with all the trimmings, including LED flash. The camera can take high definition video at 30 frames per second. The battery for the Smartphone is 2100mAh in size, which is about typical for a Smartphone of this caliber. The S3 is able to handle the latest 4G LTE networks, so expect to see it on the Verizon “Big Red” network. It is available for pre-order in some places.
