How to run Website from iPhone or iPad

How to run Website from iPhone or iPad

As Everybody knows that iPhone and iPad is a very versatile little thing, as it can carry all of your music, games and much more, but question arise that does it helpful to the website developer or a blogger ?

Here we will look at the apps available and see if there is enough functionality to truly keep your website running.

WordPress:

WordPress is a blogging tool which your download and simply install it onto your server, It allows you to choose a great theme for your website and then apply it to your website. It is very user friendly and you can write article and can post it with just a click.

With the WordPress app for iPhone and iPad this becomes even more practical as you can do it all from your phone. Uploading images couldn’t be easier – you simply go to share and then select WordPress which instantly embeds your image into a new post. The only downside is the fiddly keyboard so if you want to achieve real productivity you might want to consider investing in a bluetooth keyboard.

You and download this app by simply clicking here

Non-WordPress Sites:

Now if your site isn’t a WordPress site that’s when things get a little more difficult and fiddly. That said there are still ways around the problem – for instance you can get FTP apps for your iPhone which allow you to access a server and then edit files on the go. Of course if you have a lot of editing to do this might not really be feasible, and getting images onto your server is also difficult due to the architecture of the iOS (and the lack of a normal browser). However if you just want to alter the content on your index page for instance, or if you have a handy template for making new pages it IS possible meaning you never need to worry about your site looking out of date and being unable to do anything about it when you’re travelling.

Meanwhile it is also possible to do large bulks of your work on your iPhone while you are away and if you have lots of articles to write for instance then this is an easy way to do so. There are many great word processing apps available on the app store, and many of these support tables and pictures and everything else you might want. One of the best here is Documents to Gowhich also supports spreadsheets and various other formats. Meanwhile you can also benefit from the camera which will be highly useful for taking snapshots of things that you can use for your site, and then there’s the web for doing your research. While updating a non-WordPress site on the go using an iPhone or iPad then might be tricky (admittedly much easier with the latter), when used as a tool to simply help you to run your site they are quite invaluable.
